By Alfred J. Plechner, D.V.M.

The following are a list of foods that will help lower estrogen levels that may be too high in you or your animal. Hopefully this list will help you and your pet with elevated estrogen, to utilize.

All kinds of berries, broccoli, buckwheat, cabbage, citrus fruits (grape fruit, oranges, lemons), corn, figs, most fruits except for (apples, cherries, dates and pomegranates), grapes, green beans, melons, millet, onions, pineapple, squashes, tapioca, white rice and white flour.

This is all good and fine, and will give you an idea of which foods will be good for you and your pet if you have too much estrogen.

You need to also remember if you have gout, these foods may bind estrogen but also contain high levels of purines that can raise havoc with gout sufferes.
